"Ka Ko Nga Kopara a Rongomaitapui" Collection 😍☘🌿♻️
Uetaha’s marriage to Rongomaitāpui produced three daughters — Te Aopāre, Tamateakui and Hinerupe — who, it is said, were such constant chatterers that they were dubbed “Ngā Kōpara a Rongomaitāpui — The warbling bellbirds of Rongomaitāpui.” In time, the daughters inherited the lands of their father — Te Aopāre took possession of the land between the Awatere and Karakatūwhero rivers, and Tamateakui was given the land between the Karakatūwhero river and Te Koau. Hinerupe, meanwhile, had not exercised her inheritance to the land but had shifted to live with her husband,Tūtakangahau, and his people in Whangaparāoa (Cape Runaway).
